Everyone has heard these terms in regard to sales and many may say they are cliché but read them again and think about each one. In a professional setting, are you going to do business with someone that comes in with a tank top and flip flops on? Maybe if you are looking for a fishing guide.
Are you going to do business with someone you don’t like or trust? Probably not because why would you put your own reputation at risk getting involved with someone like that. As far as relationship building, if you’re buying a neck massager at a home show a relationship probably doesn’t matter, but if you are doing long term business and spending significant money, there needs to be a relationship there.
