Entreprenuer Goal-Oriented Mindset - Assemble a step-by-step process to alleviate yourself from the limiting mindsets that contribute to failed marketing campaigns and stagnant practices. Learn how and why most marketing campaigns were doomed before they ever began.

10:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Changes in the Dental Marketplace - Recognize trends clinicians encounter within your specific area and construct a strategy to best position your practice to take advantage of the trends in the future. A critical component of practice growth is your ability to anticipate what will happen next and create a strategy. This session will discuss the critical difference between thinking in terms of strategy vs tactics.

Current State Assessment - Unlock the four challenges that practices face in creating a clear and defined strategy. Determine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of your practice and how to leverage your practice SWOT for ultimate success. This will help prioritize the timeline in which your strategy will be executed. This is a great team learning exercise.

Introduction: Do we sell in our practices? Do people feel “sold”? We will talk about the key components to an educational and compelling treatment planning process focused on large fee-for-service cases generated direct from the public.

2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Psychology of Patient Influence - Architect styles to pre-qualify and schedule new patient appointments over the phone. Discern how to pivot the patient’s perception from being focused on price to being focused on the value of your practice. Role-play scenarios of new patients calling in about dental implant cost. This session is extremely interactive for all team members including doctors. You will learn to influence!

3:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Personality Profiling and Gaining Trust Instantly - Attain knowledge on a common language that you and your team can use to better understand each other and patients. Elevate sales skills by identifying the patient’s buying motivation and the manner in which they consume information and make decisions.

4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Heuristics - Learn the simple and efficient rules which people often use to form judgements and make decisions. Discover how to utilize mental shortcuts to simplify and streamline the patient education process to increase conversion by focusing on the patient’s “primary desired outcome.” Role-play scenarios for doctors and the clinical team will teach how to find the patient's primary desired outcome and achieve treatment acceptance through heuristics.

Gerritt W. Cora has been with Progressive Dental since its inception in 2009. Gerritt studied financial consulting and marketing at the University of Miami and has since worked with some of the largest dental practices in the country. Skilled in strategy development and motivational speaking, Gerritt has spoken for a variety of industry organizations, including BIOLASE, Chao Pinhole® Surgical Technique and the Engel Institute. Gerritt can be found lecturing and training practices across the country on a weekly basis. He currently works with some of the largest producing laser, dental implant and All-on-4® practices in the country.

Director of Continuing Education

Veronica Makowski has been with Progressive Dental since 2014. Her background includes a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Integrated Marketing Communications. While operating in private, corporate, fee for service, and in-network practices for over a decade, she has found techniques and strategies which help practices expand to their fullest potential. She has traveled extensively and trained thousands of team members to streamline and implement quantifiable processes within their practices. Working one-on-one with clinical and front office teams throughout the country piqued her desire to develop a continuing education curriculum.

Gracie Kovacik has been with Progressive Dental since 2016. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Central Florida and a Master of Liberal Arts with a Concentration in the Humanities from the University of South Florida. While earning her master’s degree she facilitated lectures and breakout sessions as a graduate assistant, further cementing her passion for continuing education. She plans all continuing education courses nationwide for Progressive Dental, and acts as a liaison between course attendees and PD.
